Project Watershed AGM 2025: Putting the Finishing Touches on Kus-kus-sum

It’s been another exciting year of growth at Project Watershed. Join us at our 2025 Annual General Meeting on Saturday, July 19, to hear the highlights from our ongoing projects, and our two new projects.

Jeff Skinner
Restoration & Monitoring Manager
Jeff Skinner is a biology technologist and commercial SCUBA diver who has spent his life living and working within the unceded traditional territory of the Coast Salish peoples. His background is in nearshore marine restoration and urban nature sanctuary management. He brings over 10 years of experience working as a survey diver, biologist, and environmental technician on research and restoration projects across the BC coast.
Jeff joined Project Watershed in February 2024 and one of his main focuses is the Kus-kus-sum Project. He manages onsite activities and assists with grant applications and reporting.

AGM Details
The meeting will take place in the boardroom of the Comox Valley Regional District at 770 Harmston Avenue in Courtenay. We will report on our restoration, research, and education work from 2024 and look forward to the work 2025 holds. We will also introduce new staff and elect board members.
The keynote speech for the event will be delivered by Jeff Skinner, our Restoration & Monitoring Manager. Jeff will provide a presentation and update on the Kus-kus-sum Project. “Kus-kus-sum is so close to the finish line,” says Skinner. “We’re looking forward to sharing our progress over the past year and the final steps to completion, including the long-awaited removal of the steel wall.”
Note: We be set up with a computer, camera and speakers so that people can attend virtually as well as in person. People attending virtually will not be able to vote.
