During each event, we’ll share an overview of Project Watershed, reflect on last year’s highlights, and preview what’s ahead this year. Staff will be on hand to answer questions and introduce upcoming volunteer opportunities.

We’ll also walk through our new volunteer system, Civic Champs, including how to get set up and use it to sign up for activities and see your hours.

A highlight will be recognizing our outstanding 2025 volunteers. Volunteers play a vital role in everything we do—from running information booths and supporting educational field trips, to planting at Kus-kus-sum and surveying local beaches. This event is our chance to say a heartfelt thank you for the time and energy our community contributes.

Volunteer opportunities we’ll be highlighting include:

  • Forage fish surveying

  • Seal monitoring

  • Planting

  • Field trip assistance

  • Eelgrass transplanting

With many volunteer activities coming up this year, we hope this session inspires both new and returning volunteers to get involved with our environmental stewardship activities.
