Streamkeepers Training Workshop
Are you interested in learning more about the health of our local streams and creeks?
Project Watershed is hosting a Streamkeepers Training workshop this September for $50. The Streamkeepers Program is a series of modules which provide a protocol for assessing stream health. Participants will learn how to asses physical habitat, water quality and quantity and how to identify common aquatic insects. Upon successful completion of training a certificate is awarded to each participant.
Details
- When: Sat. Sept. 17 and Sun. Sept. 18, 2016. 9:30 – 4:30 each day.
- Where: Comox Valley Project Watershed Office – 2356 a Rosewall Crescent Courtenay, BC. We will start indoors and then carpool out to a local stream. Please bring rubber-boots or waders and be prepared to work outdoors.
- Cost: The cost is $50.00 per student. The Streamkeepers Handbook will be provided free of cost!
