Over the past few months various individuals and businesses have raised over $7000 for Project Watershed’s protection and restoration efforts. Below is a list of the major community sponsors and events that have contributed to this total. Project Watershed would like to thank everyone for their support.

As a Lenton project the Presbyterian Church congregation put coins into donation boxes every time they used water in their home. This money was collected and donated to Project Watershed.  “It was one of our most successful fundraisers we have done” reported Reverend Jennifer Geddes.

This includes $150 donated by Cory Frank of the K’ómoks First Nation,  the food vendor at the event. The items for the jumble sale were donated by a variety of individuals and it took over 15 volunteers to organise and run the event. See gallery below for photos of the event.

The Courtenay Airpark Association donated the money used to purchase the native plants that were planted along side the Airpark Lagoon during Earth Day and the Arden Elementary event.
