Description

Join us for a sampling event to collect sediments and varnish clam for our K’omoks Estuary microplastics study. We’ll be collecting sediments and varnish clam to undergo analysis to see what types of microplastics are accumulating in our estuary sediments and being passed through the food web. Please bring rainboots, sun protection, and a water bottle. We’ll be bringing all the equipment necessary for collection along with snacks.

Please meet at the end of Marine Drive. We will be doing field collection in the Trent River Estuary and then carpool over to one other site in the K’omoks Estuary (either Goose Spit or Comox Marine) to do our field collection there.
