Calling all volunteers and potential volunteers! We are holding a symposium for you to learn about Project Watershed and our volunteer activities. There will be snacks, drinks, giveaways and hands on fun.

Symposium Dates

6 pm – 8 pm
August 24
The Old House Hotel
1730 Riverside Lane, Courtenay

We have received many new volunteers over the past few months and have a great roster of existing volunteers. To empower and entice everyone to get involved in our upcoming volunteer activities we are hosting a volunteer symposium!

At each symposium, we will share information, answer questions, perform hands on demonstrations, and provide signup forms for future activities. We have a number of volunteer opportunities coming up in late summer and fall and need all the help we can get to make these events a success!

Demonstrations:

  • Salt Water Wedge
  • Forage Fish Data Collection
  • Planting
  • Salmon v Seals Game
  • Information Booths
  • Newton the Newt

We are also going to take this opportunity to celebrate some special volunteers and give a few prizes away. Light snacks, water, and tea will be available.
