Description

The 11th annual Comox Valley Estuary Carol walk on Sunday, December 3th begins at Mansfield Drive parking lot (behind Bayside Cafe at 26th off Cliffe Ave). We are asking that people arrive at 3 pm. If the weather is nice enough to walk, we will walk up to Ocean Front Village to sing to the residents there who may not be able to walk with us. The group will then walk from Ocean Front to Locals Restaurant. Children and dogs on leash welcome!

Locals Restaurant will provide a cup of warm wassail on their patio. We will continue to sing carols there until about 5 o’clock. If carolers would like to stay for dinner at Locals please make a reservation. This is not a part of the carol walk event but would be a nice way to end your evening!

We live in a Canadian rain forest, please dress for the weather. We also suggest you bring a water bottle and a flashlight or headlamp. Participants can park vehicles at Mansfield Drive, the Airpark or near the Old House Hotel and Spa.

If the weather is too windy and rainy for walking and singing the group will drive to Locals and sing in their covered patio from about 3:30 to 4:15 pm.  If you sign up, we will also be able to contact you via email, however, you are not required to sign up to participate.

This year we need a carol leader to lead the signing and at least one assistant to help manage the group. If you have musical talent and/or experience leading a signing group, please sign up to help lead our carol walk! Everyone is invited to participate.

You can download and print the Carol Booklet on this page or view it on your phone so that you can sing along with the group.
