Orientation Date

6 pm – 7:30 pm
April 4

The Old House Hotel
1730 Riverside Lane, Courtenay

We depend on volunteers to assist with running information booths, educational field trips, planting, monitoring and more. To empower and entice people to get involved in these activities we are holding an orientation session. This session is especially great for people who haven’t volunteered before or want to volunteer in a different capacity than they have in the past.

During the orientation, we will share information about our organization, this year’s activities, answer questions, perform hands on demonstrations, and provide signup forms for future activities. We have a number of volunteer opportunities coming up this year and need all the help we can get to make each activity a success!

Demonstrations:

  • Salt Water Wedge
  • Salmon v Seals Game
  • Information Booths
  • Newton the Newt
  • Forage Fish Microscope Work

Light snacks, water, coffee and tea will be available.
