Geoff moved to the Comox Valley in 2018, was born in Campbell River, and loves being back on Vancouver Island after many years of living in Tsawwassen, BC.

Geoff is a Registered Professional Biologist who’s been working in the Environmental Consulting field for over 26 years, most recently for his new firm Craft Environmental. The focus of his work has been in the areas of environmental assessment and permitting, contaminated lands, and leading teams of scientists on challenging projects that require assessment of the potential risks associated with contaminants on human health, and aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Ecology and Environmental Biology and a Master’s degree in Toxicology. Geoff has previously served as a Board member with the Environmental Managers Association of BC and was a member of the College of Applied Biologists’ Ethics Committee where he participated in drafting the organization’s Code of Ethics and Principles of Stewardship documents.

Outside of work, Geoff is an avid cyclist (mountain, gravel, and road), photographer, Nordic skier, surfer, and musician. He has joined the Project Watershed Board because he believes strongly in the importance of preserving and restoring natural areas and is excited to participate in the development and sustainability of the organization.
