Dan Bowen

Director Emeritus

Dan has been a working director with Project Watershed for 11 years as of 2022. As the technical director he is involved with all technical aspects of restoration projects.

Dan is a conservationist who advocates action, for the protection of the environment and restoration of lost habitat. Dan has worked for the past 20 years as a land development consultant that promotes conservation covenants, green space corridors, park dedication and green shore concepts. Previously, Dan retired after 31 years working for the province as senior engineering technician and while working with the province. He was the environmental representative on the Baynes Sound Roundtable as well as the original mapping of the Comox Valley watersheds. Dan and PW technical team completed several key projects like blue carbon research, eel grass and saltmarsh restoration and kelp research. The Courtenay Airpark Lagoon Dike Breach and Simms Park Side Channel were very satisfying accomplishments for Project Watershed.
